Northern Pampas Grass – Saccharum Ravennae

Northern Pampas Grass is sometimes confused with Pampas Grass because it is also a large plant with beautiful plumes. However, Northern Pampas Grass is much hardier, and its plumes extend four feet above the foliage on strong stalks.

With plumes, it can reach up to 14 feet in some cases. It can be used as a giant ornamental grass specimen, privacy screen, or to block out unwanted views. Its green foliage turns bronze-red in the fall and plumes can be used in cut flower arrangements.
