Coast Rosemary is an evergreen shrub that is fast growing, reaching 6-8 feet tall by 5-6 feet wide. Blooming year-round, this shrub is densely packed with narrow 1″ long leaves arranged in whorls surrounded by small delicate light purple flowers.
It is tolerant of harsh seaside conditions, drought tolerant, and is cold hardy to temperatures as low as 25 degrees Fahrenheit.
This variety of rosemary, while part of the Mint family, is not edible and does not have a fragrance. Easily considered a low-maintenance plant variety, Coast Rosemary is an obvious addition to California landscape designs.
