Bold, lush, full-branching, and richly colored tall evergreen shrub.
Brush cherry is almost always sheared into a huge, bushy barrier, which is great for privacy. Beware of the purple berries which attract birds and may stain paving. It makes a very rich-colored, high-density screening between neighbors or to disguise tall fences, with new growth being a rich reddish bronze over a long season.
Creamy white brush-like flowers are followed by rose-purple fruit. Ideal for formal hedges or planted in groups to create a dense, natural screen.
